History

Home Sweet Home Care was established in 2008 as a division of ATTIC, Inc., a federal Center for Independent Living (CIL).  The Independent Living Philosophy is that a person with a disability has the right to control and direct his/her own life, in the same ways as a person without a disability, and that he/she has the right to actively participate in all aspects of community life to any extend he/she chooses.  As homecare services encompass this idea of options and choices for individuals, it was a natural fit to add Home Sweet Home Care to ATTIC, Inc.  Our primary mission is to empower individuals to live more independently and have control over their lives, by offering the in-home and community supports to make living safely in your home an option!

Our Field Staff

Our Personal Care Attendants (PCA’s) are thoroughly screened and trained to be able to do all Homemaker and Attendant Care tasks.   We do criminal history checks, drug screenings, motor vehicle record checks, and Office of the Attorney General Medicaid fraud checks at time on all staff.  We train staff using the Indiana Home and Hospice Care Foundation curriculum for PCA’s.  Our trainer has been trained and certified through the IAHHC Foundation.  Additionally, Home Sweet Home Care, recognizes that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to your caregiver.  We offer the option of you choosing a current caregiver, friend, or relative not living with you, to go through our training program and become your paid caregiver.  They are at no obligation to provide care to any of our other consumers, but that can be an option if they are interested.
